Most Dangerous Battles for Survival in African (Full Episode) | Nature Animal Documentary. A lioness from a pride short of hunters waits beside a Serengeti stream, and the zebra that would outrun her on open ground has no room to turn in the water. Across nearly four hours of chained chapters, the most dangerous battles for survival unfold from the Serengeti and Savuti to the roof of the world in Ladakh, all decided not by top speed but by the first second and the final turn.
Through cinematic footage and educational storytelling, the opening chapter begins in the Serengeti in the green season, where the herds must come down to the stream to drink. A lioness bursts from the thicket and drags a zebra down at the water's edge, and at Savuti in Botswana a mother leopard raising two cubs alone wades into the last mud pool of the Savute Channel to pull out a large catfish. Then the story climbs to Ladakh, on the western edge of the Tibetan Plateau, where a Tibetan fox races a pika to its burrow, a snow leopard chases a bharal over a cliff edge at Hemis, and Pallas's cats, black necked cranes and kiang share one brief summer.

Behind the drama is a system. Top speed rarely decides a hunt: the rains draw some 200,000 zebra and 1.2 million wildebeest into the Serengeti, yet lions choose places where prey is easy to catch, not where it is plentiful. On the Changthang plateau of Ladakh, above 13,000 feet, the thin air means no hunter can keep up a long chase, and at Hemis the cliffs rise to more than 19,000 feet, so the bharal survive by turning upward. In the wild, the race is won in the first second, or at the final turn.
This documentary contains raw, unfiltered footage of nature at its most intense. Viewer discretion is advised. Some scenes are recreated with digital imagery to illustrate natural animal behavior.
