Why Didn't God Say Yes? | Understanding Prayer & God's Will (Bible Study)

Have you ever prayed for something, believed God could do it, and still didn't receive the answer you were hoping for? If Jesus tells us to ask, seek, and knock, why doesn't God always give us what we ask for? Does that mean we lacked faith, prayed incorrectly, or misunderstood His will? In Week 3 of **The Bible: IRL — Kingdom Prayer: From Communion to Commission**, we're examining what Scripture actually teaches about asking God, persistent prayer, and trusting His will. *Tonight, we're exploring:* Why Jesus tells us to ask, seek, and knock. What it means to pray according to God's will. The difference between persistence and trying to control an outcome. What Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane teaches us about surrender. What Paul's thorn in the flesh teaches us about God's response when circumstances don't change. *Scriptures we'll study:* Luke 11:1–13 | 1 John 5:14–15 | Philippians 4:6–7 | Matthew 26:36–44 | 2 Corinthians 12:7–10 This isn't a lecture where you just listen. We're opening the Bible together, asking questions, examining what we've been taught, and allowing Scripture to shape our understanding. Bring your Bible, your questions, and a willingness to learn. *The Bible: IRL* Kingdom Prayer: From Communion to Commission Hosted by Joy Pittman | Count It All Joy Ministries 📅 Wednesdays at 7:30 PM Central Time 📍 LIVE on YouTube and Facebook #BibleStudy #Prayer #GodsWill #UnansweredPrayers #ChristianTeaching
