Presentation abstract: Rhoda explores whether Virtual Production is truly a sustainable solution for the film industry or if that assumption needs to be challenged. Drawing on a real production case study and ongoing research, the talk compares LED-based workflows with traditional on-location filming and examines the carbon footprint of LED panels in collaboration with ROE Visual. By combining data, methodology, and real-world insights, the session highlights the importance of understanding trade-offs and making more informed, evidence-based production decisions.
