Mercy Explosion - I AM (Official Audio) - Christian Hard Rock

“I AM” by Mercy Explosion Inspired by Exodus 3 and Moses’ encounter with God at the burning bush. A bush burns without being consumed. Moses steps closer. Then a voice speaks from the fire: “I AM WHO I AM.” Before the flame. Before the dust. Before the stars. Before time itself. “I AM” is about the moment Moses stood on holy ground and encountered the God who simply IS — uncreated, eternal, and beyond anything we can contain. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” — Exodus 3:5 When Moses asked what name he should give the Israelites, God answered: “I AM WHO I AM.” — Exodus 3:14 Mercy Explosion Faith. Music. Truth. LYRICS: [Verse 1] Out past the road Beyond the sand A fire was burning Where no fire should stand No smoke in the air No branch turning black Flame in the leaves But nothing burned back He took one step Then another came Drawn to the light Drawn to the flame [Pre-Chorus] What is this? What kind of fire Burns without ash And climbs even higher? Why does the air Feel heavy and still? Why does the ground Feel alive with a will? I AM [Chorus] I AM Before the flame Before the dust Before the breath That ever rose from us I AM Before the stars Before the sky Before the first Second learned to pass us by Take off your shoes Don't come too near Holy ground The Living God is here I AM [Post-Chorus] I AM [Verse 2] The mountain shook The fire stayed A voice from the flame And a name unmade Abraham knew Isaac heard Jacob carried The weight of the Word Moses froze And hid his face Fear in his chest But he stayed in place No throne No gold No shape to frame Just fire Just power Just the Name [Pre-Chorus] Not born Not made Not bound in time No first breath No finish line No borrowed strength No borrowed flame He doesn't wear a name He is the Name [Chorus] I AM Before the flame Before the dust Before the breath That ever rose from us I AM Before the stars Before the sky Before the first Second learned to pass us by Take off your shoes Don't come too near Holy ground The Living God is here I AM [Bridge] I have seen I have heard Every cry Every word I know the chains I know the pain I know My people By their name I have come And I will send You don't need To know the end You keep asking Who am I? I AM [Breakdown] Not your strength Not your name Not your courage Not your claim Not your power Not your plan You ask, "Who am I?" I AM [Breakdown 2] Before the kings Before the throne Before the dust Was called a home Before the dark Before the light No beginning No end in sight I AM [Final Chorus] I AM Before the flame Before the dust Before the breath That ever rose from us I AM Before the stars Before the sky Before the first Second learned to pass us by Take off your shoes Don't come too near Holy ground The Living God is here I AM [Final Refrain] Still burning Still alive The bush was never Just the fire [Outro] I AM #MercyExplosion #IAM #ChristianRock #ChristianMetal #ChristianAlternativeRock #ChristianMusic #Moses #BurningBush #Exodus3
