Shamita Datta is a final year student at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University pursuing her bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering. As part of her summer internship at the end of her third year, she was accepted in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Program in Canada. Shamita was selected as a research intern at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec where she worked in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics on the project titled 'Sparse Recovery and Machine Learning for Computational Mathematics'.
