KANAWA FOREST DOCUMENTARY FINAL 2 1

Kanawa Forest aligns with the objectives of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project, which aims to address land degradation, restore degraded ecosystems, improve vegetation cover, and strengthen climate resilience in northern Nigeria. Through its landscape-restoration and natural-resource management objectives, ACReSAL supports efforts to conserve forest resources, promote sustainable land use, reduce environmental degradation, and protect biodiversity. These interventions matter especially in semi-arid areas such as Gombe State, where deforestation, soil erosion, overgrazing, and climate variability can threaten forest ecosystems and the livelihoods of surrounding communities.
