NCAAF 2026 Week 00 Stephen F. Austin vs McNeese

After a long offseason, College football is back and the SFA Lumberjacks are kicking things off in week 0. 2025 was one of the best seasons in school history for SFA after starting 0-2, the Lumberjacks rattled off 10 straight regular season wins, got a top-8 seed in the FCS playoffs, and won a playoff game before losing to the eventual national champion Montana State Bobcats. Now, SFA hopes to capitalize on the program’s momentum after being selected as the preseason favorites to win the SLC. SFA has only won back-to-back conference titles once, and their quest will start in week 0 against conference foe McNeese, who finished their 2025 season off on a 5-game win streak. SFA has a lot of young talent, but McNeese’s returning veteran talent and strong transfer class are going to do everything they can to prevent SFA from taking the win in “the hole”.
