Iran announced that it is increasing the range of its missiles, improving their speed and accuracy, and warning that its “doomsday weapon” is ready. As Tehran prepares for another round of war, the United States is moving enormous firepower back into the Middle East. A third American aircraft carrier is positioning itself in the region together with its entire strike group. The USS Theodore Roosevelt is making its way toward the Middle East, possibly joining two additional carrier strike groups, amphibious forces, thousands of sailors and Marines, hundreds of aircraft, and new Patriot batteries deployed to defend Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Washington’s message is clear: Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. In Britain, dozens of American B-1B Lancer bombers have urgently left RAF Fairford and returned to the United States after a suspected terror plot raised the security level around the base. Six suspects were arrested, including a British-Iranian citizen, as U.S. officials examine whether an element connected to the Revolutionary Guards helped recruit the attackers. The bombers are not leaving the campaign — but the threat shows Iran trying to push the battlefield into Europe. Iran is trying to regain control over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important energy routes in the world. Since September 28, seven attacks against oil tankers have been reported. Two giant Kuwaiti tankers have already been hit, and Iran is warning ships not to rely on American protection. But the United States and Gulf states have restored oil exports to nearly pre-war levels through naval escorts, expensive shuttle systems, and alternative export routes. Saudi Arabia is raising pressure on the Iranian-backed Houthis as the operation to “liberate Yemen” begins. The campaign could involve as many as 100,000 Yemeni fighters with Saudi airpower providing cover. Riyadh is also trying to frame the war as a defense of Mecca and Medina, isolating the Houthis — and indirectly Iran — inside the Muslim world. In southern Syria, a terrorist attempted to infiltrate an IDF post between Hader and Quneitra and was eliminated. In Gaza, the IDF eliminated Thakr Nabil Musa Qaisi, a Nukhba terrorist who invaded Israel on October 7 and used a Turkish humanitarian association as civilian cover to employ Hamas operatives, transfer money, and maintain ties with officials in Turkey. The riots in France are entering a new stage, with more than 5,000 arrests, hundreds wounded, and another wave of nationwide protests planned. Palestinian flags and Gaza slogans appeared in several demonstrations, while French media and security services raise growing concerns over far-left involvement and possible Islamist infiltration.
