MACHINE ROOM! 1954 Schindler elevator (1983 R-Series mod) @ Lyon, France

This is an interesting elevator, with very simple controller and motor. It has been built in 1954, probably by Gervais Schindler or Otis, and modernized in 1983 by Roux-Combaluzier Schindler (RCS), with R-Series fixtures and Miconic controller. The cabin door must have been installed later, hence the car buttons with the later 3-stripe Schindler logo. That car button must have been upgraded to include a door open button.
