I share my opinions on everything from comic book legends to their big screen adaptations. If you love comic book debates, rankings, and bold takes on your favorite superheroes and villains, you’re in the right place. Being a hero sounds simple—help people, do the right thing—but it gets complicated when money, recognition, and status start getting involved. This video looks at how heroism shifts when it becomes tied to rankings, paychecks, and public image, and asks a real question: would these characters still do what they do if none of that existed? At its core, it’s about altruism versus incentive, and where that line starts to blur. From there, it dives into some of the most well-known broke or financially unstable superheroes in comics. Characters like Hal Jordan, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Rorschach all approach life very differently, but they share one thing in common—they struggle to function outside of being heroes. Whether it’s ego, constant resets, reliance on teams like the X-Men or Avengers, or just a complete rejection of comfort, each one highlights a different reason why someone with power can still end up with nothing. It’s not just about money—it’s about growth, responsibility, and what it actually means to move forward in life. Some of these characters feel stuck, some choose that path, and others don’t know anything else. By the end, it opens up the conversation to other fan-favorite characters who live the same way, and why that idea keeps showing up in superhero stories. ==Timestamps== 0:00 - Intro 01:54 - Broke Heroes in Comics 03:15 - Hal Jordan is the best 06:34 - Spider Man: Forever Broke 09:51 - Wolverine: The Ultimate Freeloader 13:05 - Rorschach: Yikes 18:32 - Conclusion #comics #superheroes #marvelcomics #dccomics
