Expanded #1 - Doug Bowen

First session of EXPANDED programme hosted by ARQA project. For this session we invited Doug Bowen, Foundation Course Leader at BHSAD. Hs research interests derive from art pedagogy, in particular, exploring art world structures, situations or scenarios that give licence to students’ independence outside of the art school curriculum. This research is being pursued through a series of ongoing projects such as The Gallery in the Expanded Field, + and The Tuesday Interview, as well as through the wider exhibitions programme of blip blip blip. EXPANDED is a project focused on extending curatorial practices toward conversational formats and regular publication of thematic writings—with a focus on experimental pedagogy, site-responsive work, research, urgent art, critical spatial practice—and more follow us in IG: @oject
