The Long Mynd is a large moorland plateau that forms part of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape and offers superb hillwalking and views of the surrounding countryside. We started this walk in the Carding Mill Valley and headed up past the small waterfall of Littlespout and up onto the summit of Pole Bank, the highest point on the Long Mynd. From there we headed north along the Port Way, an ancient track dating back to the Bronze Age and down a superb grassy ridge back to Church Stretton.
Distance: 13.3km
Ascent: 443m
Duration: 4 Hours 7 Minutes
