🍂 “Autumn's Embrace — a musical portrait of an autumn afternoon.”

“Autumn’s Embrace” — Written by Steve Gardner Sometimes inspiration comes when you aren’t looking for it. “Autumn’s Embrace” began with a simple autumn afternoon—watching the trees move in the breeze, a squirrel gathering acorns, a combine working the soybean fields in the distance, and an eagle calling overhead. But as I began putting those images into words, the song became about more than autumn. It became a reflection on life—the passing of time, the memories we carry with us, the opportunities we’ve had and those we may have missed, and the importance of finding peace in the moment we’re living right now. I’ve spent much of my life expressing myself through photography and video. More recently, I’ve discovered another creative outlet through writing songs. I never expected this chapter of my life, but I’m certainly enjoying it. And somewhere in the back of my mind, I have to wonder if I was paying a little more attention in Fran Weith’s English and poetry class all those years ago than I realized. 😊 I hope “Autumn’s Embrace” gives you a few quiet minutes to slow down, remember, and appreciate the beauty around you.
