Matter is the first physical subject examined in Part II of The Universe Univocally, where primordial particles are treated as primary substance and are described as bearing intrinsic characteristics. THE UNIVERSE approaches the same subject from a broader physical perspective, treating matter as the carrier of mass and as expressing characteristics such as volume, density, temperature, cohesion, elasticity, chemical behavior, gravitational response, and response to pressure impulse. This paper brings those two treatments together without assuming that every characteristic has the same status or belongs to the same level of description. It distinguishes the subject called matter, the primordial particle proposed as primary substance within the author's framework, and the variable characteristics observed in larger material bodies. Four characteristics identified in The Universe Univocally—finite volume, finite mass, intrinsic gravitational affinity, and charge—are examined as the proposed intrinsic foundation. A second layer of characteristics is then mapped at the level of material bodies, where density, temperature, elasticity, cohesion, chemical behavior, and other responses become measurable expressions. The paper does not attempt to establish a new ontology of matter from independent experimental evidence. Its purpose is to construct a disciplined anatomical map from the source books, identify what is established, what belongs to the author's proposed framework, and what remains open. This map is intended to provide the foundation for the subsequent papers on mass, volume, intrinsic characteristics, gravity, and charge.
