Name Theology in the Old Testament identifies the Name of God with the presence of God. Yahweh speaks about His Name dwelling in the temple in Jerusalem. He talks about an Angel bearing His Name, who has the power to forgive sins, etc. Both Joel and Paul wrote that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved.
