Parliament DISTANCES Itself from MP's Testimony at the Madlanga Commission

Fadiel Adams arrived at the Madlanga Commission with an extraordinary explanation for why his statement was submitted so late — including problems with his Parliament-issued laptop. Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga openly struggled to believe the explanation, and Parliament then issued its own statement saying its ICT records did not support claims of persistent laptop failures over approximately 18 months. But the laptop may be only the beginning of the Fadiel Adams story. In this video, I go back to late October 2024, when Adams says classified Crime Intelligence documents were mysteriously slipped under the door of his parliamentary office. Within days, he opened cases against senior Crime Intelligence officials, including Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo, Maj-Gen Nosipho Madondo and Maj-Gen Philani Lushaba. From there, we follow the timeline. Adams opened duplicate dockets in Gauteng, contacted then-Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, visited awaiting-trial prisoners at Westville Prison, became involved in the process that led to an IDAC Section 27 affidavit, and watched as IDAC's investigation into senior Crime Intelligence officials gathered momentum. Then, on 31 December 2024, Mchunu issued the now-famous instruction to disestablish the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) and freeze the filling of vacant Crime Intelligence posts. We also examine Adams's two controversial Westville Prison visits involving Bonginkosi Dlamini and Sibusiso Ncengwa, the criminal charges Adams now faces over those visits, what Parliament's Police Portfolio Committee chair Ian Cameron said about authorisation, and what eventually happened to the two prisoners Adams interviewed. There is also a fascinating earlier BizNews interview in which Adams says the allegations against Crime Intelligence came from “folders” supplied by concerned police officers — raising an obvious question about how that statement fits with his later account of classified documents appearing anonymously under his office door. I'm not connecting dots that the evidence has not connected. I'm simply putting the events in chronological order: Late October 2024: classified Crime Intelligence documents. 30 October: cases opened against senior Crime Intelligence officials. 31 October: duplicate Gauteng dockets. 1 November: Senzo Mchunu contacted. 2 November: first Westville Prison visit. 11 November: Mchunu's office refers the Adams allegations to IDAC. 21 November: Section 27 affidavit. 31 December: PKTT ordered disestablished and Crime Intelligence recruitment frozen. 24 January 2025: second Westville Prison visit. February 2025: IDAC moves further into its investigation. 26 June 2025: Khumalo, Madondo, Lushaba and others are arrested. Now Fadiel Adams returns to the Madlanga Commission on 19 August 2026, where the origin of the documents, his dealings with IDAC, his Westville visits and the extraordinary sequence of events surrounding Crime Intelligence could come under much closer examination.
