DIY VANLIFE SEATING AREA | Dinette Sofa Bed combo| MERCEDES VARIO CAMPER CONVERSION | Van Build Ep22

Where do you relax in your van? We have decided that a multitasking seating area is the best option for us! (We may have over reached...) We want an area that will cater to all our needs, somewhere to sit up and eat, somewhere to work comfortably and somewhere to relax and watch TV - we also want it to double up as a single bed for any potential future passengers! This week we started by cutting the bases and backs for our seating area - the design we wanted to use was good in principal, but needed some tweaking. We had a limit on the size the seats could be, and when we ordered our foam we realised we needed the seats to extend! Using 18mm ply as a riser we added a flap to extend the seats to regain any space lost to the foam backs. We used a circular saw as our big Makita chop saw broke! Disaster! After this week it feels like we are well on our way to making our very own tiny house on wheels with our Vario Van Conversion!
