Sohat Chandan Khor The Swaminarayan Sampraday is a devotional tradition in which devotees express their bhakti by offering seasonal adornments, food offerings (bhog), garments (vāghā), and decorations to Bhagwan according to the time of year. Following this tradition, during the summer season, to protect the deities from the intense heat of the month of Vaishakh, sandalwood paste is applied to their divine form. Beginning on the sacred day of Akshaya Trutiya, these sandalwood garments continue for a full month, offering cooling comfort. The paramhansas of Bhagwan Swaminarayan have beautifully described this sandalwood-adorned form of Bhagwan in words and composed many devotional kirtans. On this auspicious day of Akshaya Trutiya, let us enjoy one such composition. Lyrics: Premanand Swami Singers: Rohan Trivedi and chorus સોહત ચંદનખોર સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાય ભક્તિ સંપ્રદાય છે. જેમાં ભક્તો ઋતુ પ્રમાણે ઠાકોરજીને ભોગ, વાઘા, શણગાર વગેરે અર્પણ કરીને પોતાની ભક્તિ અદા કરે છે. એ પ્રણાલિકા અનુસાર ગ્રીષ્મઋતુમાં વૈશાખી તાપથી રક્ષણ આપવા ભગવાનના શરીરે ચંદનનું લેપન કરવામાં આવે છે. અક્ષય તૃતીયાના પવિત્ર દિવસથી સતત એક મહિના સુધી આ ચંદનના વાઘા ભગવાનને શીતળતા અર્પે છે. ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણના કવિ પરમહંસોએ ઠાકોરજીની એ ચંદનચર્ચિત મૂર્તિને શબ્દોમાં કંડારીને અનેક કીર્તનો રચ્યાં છે. ચાલો, અખાત્રીજના મંગળદિને એમાંથી એકનું આચમન કરીએ. કવિ : પ્રેમાનંદ સ્વામી ગાયક : રોહન ત્રિવેદી અને ગાયકવૃંદ
