2. MUESTRA y CUELLO / GAUGE & COLLAR. Eng below. INICIO CANESÚ CALADOS -----GAUGE & NECKBAND You can follow the entire sweater journey on my website at the following link: https://ileradebu.com/en/elara_knitti... In this video, I’ll explain how to make a gauge swatch with your chosen yarn to ensure your finished garment is the size you want. Although we often tend to skip the swatch, it’s a key step. Since we’re using different DK-weight yarns, it’s important that you make one. As the sweater is worked in the round, ideally your swatch should be worked in the round too. To keep things simple, cast on 27 sts. Work the 3 sts at each side in St st, and work the 21 centre sts following the chart shown in the video and available on my website. If working the lace pattern feels too complicated at this stage, simply work your swatch in St st. Once you’ve made a swatch measuring at least 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in), block it by soaking it in lukewarm water and leaving it to dry flat. This will allow you to measure your stitch and row gauge accurately. Your gauge should be 20 sts and 23 rows over a 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) square. If you have more sts, switch to a larger needle. If you have fewer sts, switch to a smaller needle. Use the needle size that gives you the correct gauge to knit your sweater. NECK With main colour and smaller needles, cast on 96 (96, 112, 112, 112) (120, 120, 120, 132) sts using the Long-Tail Cast-on method or Alternating cable cast-on method. PM BOR and join to work in the round, taking care not to twist the work. This m should be distinguishable from those you will add between the yoke repeats. Rib Rnd: K1, p1*, rep *– to end. Work in 1 x 1 rib as established until it measures 4 cm / 1.5" . Sizes 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 only Inc Rnd: Kyok, p1, (k1, p1) x - (-, -, -, 6) (4, 2, 2, 2)*, work *– - (-, -, -, 8) (12, 20, 20, 22) times in total. (-, -, -, 16) (24, 40, 40, 44) sts increased. - (-, -, -, 128) (144, 160, 160, 176) sts in total. kyok: K the next st and leave it on the LHN, yo and k the same st again. (2 sts increased) All sizes you have 96 (96, 112, 112, 128) (144, 160, 160, 176) sts. Next video 3. LACEWORK YOKE
