Follow us as we complete a nine-day walk on the Fife Coastal Path in Scotland. As Slackpackers, we hired Contours to plan our route, secure our accommodations, and transfer our baggage. In addition, they transferred us to and from accommodations they deemed far enough off the path to warrant a ride. In this, our third of nine videos, we walk from the Aberdour Hotel and Stables to The Victoria Hotel in Kircaldy. The Contours-planned route estimated 9.9 miles. We veered from that plan at the outset by skipping the shore road to Black Sands Beach in favor of catching a glimpse of the Aberdour Castle and St. Fillan Church, rejoining the path at Silver Sands beach. The Aberdour Inn and Stables was a delightful accommodation with a comfy room and great food. From Silver Sands, we made our way to BurntIsland along wooded trails with trains on both sides, the Starley Burn Waterfall, views of Edinburgh. The terrain was easy enough with some mild elevation gains and losses. We were treated to a carnival at BurntIsland as well as our first Wemyss Cat sighting. Next stop was Kinghorn Beach where we stopped at the Harbor View Cafe for lunch, Pettycur, and finally, The Victoria Hotel in Kircaldy. All told we covered 14.74 miles.
