The Hijrah Genesis of a Society and a Calendar #islamichistory #hijrah #onlinecoach

Why does the Islamic calendar begin with a journey? 🌙 In 622 CE, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) left Makkah and travelled to Madinah. This was the Hijrah, a journey of sacrifice, courage and complete trust in Allah. Years later, Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) and the Companions chose this very event as Year 1 of the Hijri calendar, with 1 Muharram marking each new year. What does the Hijrah teach students today? ✨ Plan carefully, then trust in Allah. ✨ Sacrifice today to achieve your goals. ✨ Teamwork and loyalty make journeys easier. ✨ Every setback can become a fresh start.
