Universal Orlando Day of Thrills! Mickey vs Rip Ride Rockit, Gringotts & Hagrid’s!

Day 2 in Orlando with me, Pandy, and of course Mickey! 🎉 We pack in a full day of thrills, magic, food, and fun at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure before finishing with laughs and games at Murphy’s Pub on I-Drive. 🎢 First up, we braved the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit – an iconic roller coaster where YOU choose your own music. It’s intense, with a 90-degree lift hill, and is sadly closing soon, so we had to give it a go! Mickey wasn’t too steady afterwards 😅. 🧟 To help him recover, we took on Revenge of the Mummy – a dark ride / coaster hybrid filled with fire, scarabs, and creepy surprises. Always a must-do! ⚡ Next stop: Diagon Alley in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The theming here is just incredible, and Mickey was in awe. We rode Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, a 3D/4D coaster-style ride through the bank with trolls, dragons, and Voldemort himself – Mickey’s favourite ride so far! 👽 Then it was on to MEN IN BLACK: Alien Attack, where you zap aliens for points. Pandy won (of course 🤣). 🍩 We also rode The Simpsons Ride, a motion simulator where the Simpson family takes you on a chaotic, hilarious adventure through Krustyland. Mickey loved it! 🚌 Before leaving, we chatted with the shrunken head on the Knight Bus (always funny!) before boarding the Hogwarts Express from King’s Cross to Hogsmeade – a magical train journey with surprises in the windows and corridors. 🍴 For lunch, we dined at Mythos, one of our absolute favourite restaurants at Universal Islands of Adventure. Consistently voted one of the best theme park restaurants in the world, it has stunning cave-like theming and delicious food – and it didn’t disappoint! 🏍️ After filling up, we tackled Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – one of the best roller coasters EVER, with launches, twists, turns, and even a free-fall drop. An absolute must-do! 🍻 Back at the hotel for a quick freshen-up, before heading out to Murphy’s Pub on International Drive for ‘Survey Says’ (a Family-Feud style game show). We WON! 🏆 🌅 The night finished with the most beautiful Orlando sky I’ve ever seen.
