A cozy day off in Iran, starting with a homemade breakfast and ending with a little shopping trip with my mom. 🤍 I wake up on my day off and make Japanese fluffy pancakes for breakfast, enjoying them with a cup of Iranian tea. For lunch, I make rib kebab with potatoes and rice, along with a fresh cucumber and nectarine salad. In the afternoon, my mom picks me up and we head to one of the old traditional markets in town to look for a measuring pitcher that I’ve been needing. Just a simple day off filled with homemade food, family time, and a little walk through an old Iranian market. 🤍 *Japanese Fluffy Pancakes* 2 eggs 30g flour 2 tbsp milk 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp cornstarch ¼ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp vanilla ½ tsp lemon juice Separate the eggs. Mix the yolks with milk and vanilla, then add the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Whip the egg whites with lemon juice and gradually add the sugar until fluffy and firm. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture. Cook in a lightly greased covered pan over very low heat. Add a little water to the pan for steam and cook until fluffy and golden. Serve with honey, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whatever you like. 🤍 I halved the ingredients for myself.
