Eurovision | Top 41 Countries of the 5th Decade (1996-2005)

Happy 50 years of Eurovision (I wonder who will win that upcoming Congratulations show)! As we finish the 5th decade, the last 10 years have probably been the most unstable yet- only 8 countries in the entire countdown participated in all 10 contests. The introduction of semi finals allowed for even more countries, as well as automatic qualifiers- both procedures for the calculations of these placements are explained in the video. I hope they sort something out soon about these massive semi finals... DISCLAIMER As with all videos in this series, every country's average is included in the ranking no matter how many participations they have. It's easier to disqualify countries with less participations when you're dealing with all of Eurovision history, but it becomes too likely in these decade videos to set any sort of minimum threshold. Because of this, a lot of countries with very few participations can be found at the extreme ends of the ranking, but you can make your own conclusions about who actually is the best consistent participant if you wish- the averages are just here for reference.
