Independent Ward No. 1 Candidate Thomas Ering and Team Join BJP in Pasighat Pasighat, October 1, 2026: A “Merger Cum Party Wapasi (Return) Programme” was held in Pasighat on Thursday, marking the joining of Thomas Ering, who contested as an Independent candidate from Ward No. 1 of the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC), along with his team, into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The programme was attended by Shri Kaling Moyong, State President, BJP, Shri Dungolli Libang, State Vice President, BJP, and Shri Mirem Komut, District President, BJP, along with party workers, supporters and well-wishers. During the programme, Thomas Ering and members of his team formally joined the BJP, following his participation in the Ward No. 1 municipal election as an Independent candidate. The BJP leaders welcomed Thomas Ering and his team into the party fold and expressed their commitment to further strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level. The programme was held from 5:30 PM onwards at the residence of Thomas Ering in Pasighat.
