Need a Quick Escape from Dallas? We Went to Turner Falls, Oklahoma

Sometimes you don't need a big vacation to have a good adventure. For this trip, we took a last-minute road trip from Dallas to Turner Falls Park in Oklahoma. It's only about a two-hour drive from Dallas, making it an easy option when you want to get out of the city and spend a day in nature. We visited during the summer and spent our day hiking along Honey Creek, exploring the rocks and creek, enjoying lunch by the water, and simply spending time together as a family. This trip was a reminder that some of the best adventures are the ones you don't plan too far in advance.
