My Time Is Mine

I’m retired. I’m not grounded. Let’s get that straight. 🎮🎶 “My Time Is Mine” is a song about enjoying the things we love without feeling we have to justify them. For me, that means playing games, writing songs and surfing the net. From the outside, it might look like someone sitting alone at a computer. But through those headphones and behind that screen are friendships, laughter, conversations and ideas worth sharing. I’ve played games all my life. I’ve also worked, cared for people, volunteered and turned up when it mattered. I still do. Making time for other people matters to me, and so does keeping some time for myself. With a relaxed reggae-soul groove and a little blues attitude, this song celebrates the simple pleasure of choosing how to spend our own time. Every spare hour doesn’t need to be filled with another responsibility. Sometimes being happy is reason enough. What hobby makes you happy—even if other people don’t understand it?
