As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this special milestone, we look back with joy and gratitude on a memorable day filled with dance, music, blessings, and beautiful memories. Oviya’s Arangetram and Sidharth’s Salangai Pooja marked a precious chapter in our family’s Bharatanatyam journey. Sharing these cherished moments once again as we celebrate a decade of tradition, dedication, and the love of dance. Alarippu, meaning “to blossom,” is a traditional invocatory dance that marks the beginning of a Bharatanatyam performance. It is a prayerful offering to the divine, seeking blessings before the dance begins. Through graceful movements and rhythmic patterns, the dancer pays respect to God, the Guru, and the audience, welcoming everyone into the sacred and beautiful world of Bharatanatyam.
