Mafam Khangdana MANGKHRABA ARONBA LAN THUM | The Lost Wealth of the Prosperous Ancient Mesopotamia

What happened to the incredible wealth of Ancient Mesopotamia? Thousands of years ago, the lands between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers were home to some of the world's earliest cities, powerful kingdoms, advanced economies, skilled craftsmen, and remarkable centers of learning. Cities such as Ur, Babylon, Nineveh, and Nimrud produced extraordinary treasures that continue to fascinate historians and archaeologists today. In this documentary, we explore the story behind the wealth of ancient Mesopotamia — from gold jewelry, royal tombs and precious objects to clay tablets, temples, palaces, trade networks, and the intellectual achievements of Sumerians, Babylonians, and Assyrians. We’ll follow the journey of these treasures through the rise and fall of ancient empires, archaeological discoveries in Iraq, famous excavations, museums around the world, and the ongoing efforts to preserve Mesopotamia's cultural heritage.
