Hampi's Boulders Resort - Anegundi - Unique 4X4 Off-roading Experience - Anegundi Travel Ep. 4

Welcome to another episode of Hampi's Boulders Resort - Anegundi Travel series. Open jeep 4x4 off-roading through the boulders of Anegundi is a unique experience, something that we had never experienced and something that we will never forget. It is a paid activity that is provided by Hampi's Boulders Resort. Charges are nominal per person. If you have a group then even better, the open jeep accommodates 4 + 1 people at the max. The jeep ride happens early in the morning and late evening before the sunset. Let's call the vehicles as "jeep" from narration perspective. There are basically 3 to 4 open jeeps here, one is Gypsy 4X4, Mahindra very old 4x4 model, Ford Willys the left hand drive is something that I am aware of. We started with Mahindra jeep, it took us from Hampis Boulders Resort to the Tungabhadra Canal, we crossed the canal and did board the Gypsy 4x4, it is a very capable machine and it countered the boulders, uneven surfaces so smoothly. Well not so smoothly inside of the jeep, we were tossing and turning but you have very nice grips to hold on to while experiencing this unique ride. The specialty of this ride is an experience that you get in an isolated privately owned wilderness. Yes, the land that you see in the video is owned by the resort and they support wildlife here, in this wilderness if you are lucky you can spot Leopard, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, massive groups of colobinaes etc. We spotted so many peacocks, different species of birds and so on. It is a heaven for photographers. But the things that mesmerized me the most is the infinite presence of boulders, no matter where you see you will get to see the boulders of different sizes, shapes, stacked up on their own. A ride till the top is totally adventurous, you pass through the boulders, trees and then you climb the terrain of boulders, the might of 4x4 can be seen there. The ride gets bumpy, crazy, wild but at the same time so likeable. When you reach the top, if you opt for evening ride, you get to see breath taking sunset. The landscape is huge as you can see in the drone shots. And the silence, simply wow, when you reach the top there is no sign of humanity till your vision goes. You can see the Sanapur lake, Tungabhadra Canal, Virupaksha Temple in the distance. While coming back there is even more fun, I will upload all of that in part 2. You get to ride through the wilderness in the dark, it is scary at the same time adventurous. If you are in Hampi or Anegundi, do experience this at least once.
