[KiniNews] Former religious affairs minister Jamil Khir Baharom has been remanded for five days to assist in an MACC investigation linked to the Tabung Haji royal commission of inquiry, according to his lawyer Hamidi Noh. Speaking to reporters in Putrajaya after the remand proceedings today, Hamidi said Jamil was being investigated under Section 16A of the MACC Act 2009. Hamidi stressed that Jamil had consistently cooperated with the authorities throughout investigations involving him since 2018. Meanwhile, in a separate story, former economy minister Rafizi Ramli has urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to immediately release the investigation papers into the share ownership controversy involving former MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki.
