Father Faces Retrial in Murder of Daughter's Boyfriend — Full Openings

Jeffrey Spence is in court for the second time on charges related to the death of Kirby Carpenter. Carpenter was dating Spence's daughter when he allegedly killed him in Mississippi. Prosecutors say the father took belongings of Carpenter and placed them in bank boxes. His defense claimed that he was not in the state when the incident occurred.
