Writer-director Whit Stillman introduces the final installment in his trilogy of sophisticated social-study satires about the lives of beautiful, young, spoiled city dwellers: an affectionate and witty look at the early 1980s Manhattan nightclub scene. Guest Whit Stillman Whit Stillman grew up in New York and graduated from Harvard College. After stints in publishing and journalism, he wrote and directed five films: Metropolitan (90), Barcelona (94), The Last Days of Disco (98), Damsels in Distress (11), and Love & Friendship (15). He's also written two novels: The Last Days of Disco, With Cocktails at Petrossian Afterwards (00), which won the Prix Fitzgerald in 2014, and Love & Friendship: In Which Jane Austen's Lady Susan Vernon Is Entirely Vindicated (16).
