Visiting Kurosuke's House and Totoro's Forest

Two more spots for fans of Totoro as an alternative (or addition to) the Ghibli Museum - Kuroske's House (home of the Soot Sprites) - an old tea plantation house which serves as the headquarters of the Totoro Fund, and Totoro's Forest (a protected area of forest with multiple walking trails). Both are located in Tokorozawa in Saitama prefecture. The whole are served as inspiration for the setting of My Neighbor Totoro.
