The Beatles – “I Want to Hold Your Hand” Recreation A recreation of The Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” recorded using a Gretsch Electromatic for lead guitar, Rickenbacker 325 Miami for rhythm guitar, and a Hofner Ignition for bass, all through a Marshall MG30 DFX. I also have a small Vox amp, but it doesn’t have enough punch for recording. There is one small bass overdub that was not shown in the video. The Beatles performed “I Want to Hold Your Hand” on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964, as the final song of their first appearance. The song was released in the UK on November 29, 1963, and later appeared on the U.S. album Meet the Beatles!. Thanks for watching!
