I run Marinesthing Academy, a Merchant Navy Academy based on Westbengal, Siliguri. We've made Class 12th Students to Sponsored Cadets in companies like Anglo Eastern, Fleet Management, Synergy, MSC, Great Eastern and in few other top shipping companies. In plain English: I help students build a life at sea career that gives them job in hand, make them financial independent and make there parents proud. I also make in depth videos about how to do all of that here on YouTube. It hasn't always been this way. My family immigrated from Nepal in the 90s. They worked extremely hard, and my father joined BSF. I grew up as a middle class with big dreams. As for my path: I have Bsc Nautical Science degree, completed my cadetship with Sanmar Shipping, worked in Offshore sector, worked in Maritime Startups, now running my own academy and I am loving it. In my college years I helped my juniors to crack Shipping Companies Interview for placement, after that I started giving online courses for IMUCET ( yet not started for Sponsorship ), I realised students taking extra daily classes for IMUCET is exhausting and they are just ignoring after few days of enrolling. But those days thought me something very important, the importance of test. I started giving weekly full length mock tests for IMUCET ( my final effort to make students clear it ). And it worked. I had 51 students out of that 43 cleared IMUCET in 2025. So in 2026, I stopped IMUCET Online batch and starting providing mocks and Offline Classes, and we had skyrocketed the result like anything. We had 204 students out of that 178 students cleared IMUCET 2026. Meantime I also started giving Sponsorship 1:1 Program and Mock Pass, which resulted in 20 Sponsored Cadets out of 23 for Aug 2026 DNS/Bsc NS/Btech ME. It wasn't easy to get here. It wasn't easy to carry dreams of 200+ students and delivering them. It wasn't easy for our students to compete 50-70,000 aspirants. But we did in the end!
