Wash n dry season 3 episode 25 We are back with something very cool and special. Today I re turned to this ipsomat vintage laundrette, which some of you might remember from long time ago if you look at the photos in the end. Anyways, I came here today since I had never filmed one of the mechanical hard mount ipso WE55's here, but what do i see? 2 of them got replaced with these soft-mount mechanical ipso HF65's! These cam timer HF's are getting rare around here, so with no hesitation I filmed one of them. Plenty of ipso WE55's still remain. The place has now been bought by new owners which ill talk about in a bit. Washing a full load of coloured bed sheets on programme 2, warm wash 65C° with 45C° pre-wash. Fast 1000 RPM final spin Using ariel powder detergent & lenor fabric softener. Drying in a vintage 1990s' A.D.C./ipso single gas dryer on high temp. 16 mins. with visible gas flame on the video This ipso HF65 I used works and gets the job done ok, but it has some major issues. For some reason, on the spins after pre-wash & main wash it kicked into spin without distribution while full of water inside! While on the spins in the rinses it worked like it should with distribution. Whatsoever, the drain valve on this thing must be very clean because it spun with water like nothing. Possibly something has broken at that section of the timer? It's also wired backwards spinning anti-clockwise and not clockwise like it should, and the motor bearings could use some oil or even replacement but i've heard worse. Whatsoever it is in good shape, and gets the job done as it should. On the final spin it also did an immediate spin brake from 1000 RPM instead of slowing down a bit first like it should. The versions with 2 spins after pre-wash and the pre-rinse are the ones that spin brake immediately. Hot fill model with no electric heating element. This place originally had all ipso WE55 5KG and WE110 10KG hard-mount mechanicals, from what I remember eventually the 2 WE110's kept breaking down so the original owner replaced them with some ipso HF150 & HF185's micro2 controlled soft mount machines from the mid 2000s'. Now the place has been bought by new owners, which they put in here these 2 rare ipso HF65 mechanical soft-mounts which replaced 2 WE55's (suppose they broke down aswell?) They also upgraded the machines from coin/ipso token operated to a digital payment central machine. There is a note saying that a lot of machines previous year were out of order, but now they will keep those orange ipso machines living and the only thing they are gonna replace soon are the vintage adc ipso single dryers. They didn't mention anything else on there so the washers shall be kept alive, especially since they put those HF65's very recently. Anyways, this was a very nice find/surprise i can say, the ipso HF cam timer are some of my favourite vintage machines and i had no HF65's left near me so very good to see they are keeping some of them alive! Way better than modern machines IMO. The pricing is fair, HF65's slightly more expensive than the WE55's since they have a small difference in capacity. Very nice vintage looking place and all the machines are in good condition for their age, just some need a check on the bearings. Very few out of order. Also super nice variety of different old ipso machines together, there is also a very old dubix brand ironer that still works. So anyways, I will try and film some more cycles with these HF65 mechanicals! Enjoy!
