Rebuilding BMW E23 745i brake calipers (similar to some E24 and E28)

Rebuilding the brake calipers on my 1985 E23 745i that hasn’t driven in 19 years. These style calipers are on all E23s and similar to early E24 and E28 BMWs, also similar to M5 and M6. My experience with these style calipers is they end up getting stuck if the car sits for too long, but they are pretty easy to rebuild once you get the pistons out. The issue is rust develops between the cylinder bore and the piston.
