PLAB 2 Station (High QRISK)

In this video, we have done a review on how to approach a common PLAB 2 station. A 55-year-old lady has come for a follow up visit, and you are expected to explain that her cholesterol level is high, and her QRISk is 14%(high). You are also expected to counsel her on the need to commence a statin eg Atorvastatin, explaining the benefits and risks. You need to explain the need for follow up visits for monitoring, and do a safety net. The 3 competences being assessed in the PLAB 2 exam are: 1. Communication and consultation skills 2. Data gathering and interpretation (history, examination investigations) 3. management/treatment, safety nets and follow up plans.
