Yellow Level 2 warnings covered North West, central and southern Gauteng, eastern Northern Cape, Free State and the Eastern Cape, while a Yellow Level 1 warning for southern KwaZulu-Natal noted the risk of localised flooding, small hail and heavy rain. Extremely high fire danger was expected in central and western Eastern Cape and parts of the Northern Cape and Western Cape.
