Specifically, I examine how Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson's politics of Abundance is mired in neoliberal, reformist, and austerity politics that won't ultimately bring the solarpunk-esque world that they envision in the first chapter of their book. We need to look towards the visions of solarpunk for inspiration and steep ourselves in the political and economic strategies of ecosocialism and degrowth to find a path towards true abundance.
