Jiuxi Yanshu is located at the foot of Jiguanlong on the west side of West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It connects to Longjing in the north and flows into the Qiantang River in the south. The scenic area consists of two major water systems: Jiuxi and Shibajian. It originates from Lion Peak in Longjing and Yangmeiling in Wengjiashan. Along the way, it is joined by streams such as Qingwan, Hongfa, Tangjia, Xiaokang, Foshi, Baizhang, Yunqi, Qingtou and Fangjia, forming a winding stream of about 7 kilometers, which eventually flows into the Qiantang River. Therefore, it is also known as "Jiuxi Shibajian". Jiuxi Yanshu (Nine Streams Misty Trees) is characterized by its streams, tea gardens, mist, and green mountains. After rain, mist rises from the forests of Bajue Mountain, filling the valley with a hazy glow and creating a unique "misty tree" landscape. The mountain roads along the way are winding, with babbling brooks, verdant tea gardens, ancient trees providing shade, and cascading waterfalls. The reflections of the mountains and trees on the water's surface are beautiful in all seasons, especially in late autumn when the maple leaves turn a vibrant mix of red and yellow, creating a magnificent scene.
