Translation included.
Nastik highlighted the anguish of partition, and is said to be one of the better films on the subject. A hardened and traumatized non-believer travels to all holy places to seek vengeance from the people who wronged him.
Nastik was very successful at the box office and was the second highest grossing film of 1954, behind Nagin but ahead of such films as Taxi Driver, Aar Paar, Mirza Ghalib, Amar and Boot Polish.
