most energetic Dew of all times!!!!This was the GD's first time playing SPAC. Accounts of the show recollect a beautiful early summer day, the air surrounding the event saturated with jubilant excitement about the night. Crazed fans pushed the limits of what the unsuspecting venue could handle, as well as the Deads sound system. Accounts recollect genuine fear that the balconies and roof of the venue might fall to pieces under the booming power of the mighty amplifiers. The earth and arena shook with Phils mighty bass bombs, made even more the powerful as Jerry's amps were giving trouble, so they decided to crank Phil. Feel the bombs and reverb in your own stereo now at home. The raw power of the GD at SPAC would eventually lead to the venue declining to let them play any more shows. The recording of this Dew brings us back to the to the thunder released on that stage, that night, echoing now to us into the future, and back again to that warm 1983 summer night. *Spoiler Alert (wait for it)* Notice that moment that Brent forces the heavens open, Mickey and Bill respond accordingly introducing Jerry and Bobby to infinite space while Phil disperses a waterfall into the rocking sea of heads. Imagine the look on their faces in that moment, and the feeling.
