Some cities stay with you. Ahmedabad doesn't just stay - it pulls you back, every single time. This city has been a part of my life in the most personal way. I first came here for engineering at Nirma University, then stayed to study product design at NID. And somewhere between the lectures, the late nights, and the friendships that have lasted decades, Ahmedabad quietly became my favourite city in India. It still is. In this vlog, I go back - not just as a traveller, but as someone who has lived here, loved here, and left a piece of himself here. 00:00 Introduction 01:55 Gujarati Thali at Agashiye 03:15 History of Ahmedabad 07:53 Shree Swaminarayan Mandir and Heritage Walk 09:10 Badshah no Hajiro 09:51 Jama Masjid 11:02 Sabarmati Ashram 13:15 Sabarmati River Front 14:55 Pols of Ahmedabad 17:45 Visiting Nirma University 20:00 Adalaj ni Vav 23:58 Nightlife of Ahmedabad - Manek Chowk Foodmarket 27:09 Thol Bird Sanctuary 28:12 National Institute of Design 33:20 L D Institute of Indology 34:53 Sarkhej Roza 36:56 Sidi Saiyyed Masjid 38:46 Uttarayan celebrations in Ahmedabad 40:56 Oshwal Restaurant We walk through the ancient Pol area of the Old City, explore the Sabarmati Ashram where Gandhi once lived and vowed never to return, stand in awe inside the Adalaj Vav stepwell, and watch the sunset at the iconic Sidi Saiyyed Mosque. We eat our way through Gujarati thalis, late-night street food at Manek Chowk, and chai at the legendary Lucky Cafe. I revisit my old campuses at Nirma and NID, meet professors and friends who feel exactly the same, and celebrate Uttarayan with kites, fafda, and jalebi over the Old City rooftops. This is not a travel guide. This is a love story.
