Sizes: L - XL - 2XL $25, includes postage & packaging. I really enjoy seeing the Central Indiana & Western railroad in action. I love a short line, but this one packs so much into such a short run of track. On the western end, they work a massive glass factory that looks like it belongs in 1950s Pittsburgh or Cleveland, and not in a small town surrounded by farm fields. On the eastern end, the CI&W has grown their transload business, adding new trackage on their facility. They interchange with CSX and work the CSX South Anderson Yard. The power is an SD40-2 and a series of 75-year-old Geeps! And to top it all off, they recently did a huge ballast project across the length of the railroad. Not many short lines can say this, and it's a joy to see. Here we follow Train Z505 from Lapel, pulling empty covered hoppers out of I-O Glass Plant No. 8. These are taken to Anderson outside the transload facility where a GP8 and a GP10 switch empty tank cars, and add them to the train. Z505 proceeds to South Yard where they are dropped off, and loaded cars are picked up. Details include the starting of the GP8, brakemen throwing switches, radio chatter between the crew, and drone shots catching the train departing Lapel at the crack of dawn. Throw in a Herzog ballast train sitting on a bridge with Penn Central PC Logos to add to the fun!
