Ayberk Efendi Presents Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi / London 2014 / Composition By Ayberk Efendi Part4

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ In spring 2014 the Royal Ottoman Society gathered beneath the vaulted arches of a historic London hall, where music and devotion intertwined. Ayberk Efendi presented a heartfelt composition honoring Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi, inviting the audience into quiet remembrance. The piece centered on the gentle refrain “Allah’a emanet olun,” a blessing meaning “May you be entrusted to God,” repeated with reverent simplicity. The chant’s rhythmic wave carried listeners deeper into contemplation, while Ayberk Efendi’s original melody wove contemporary sensitivity into the timeless Sufi tradition. The recording preserves the serene atmosphere—the subtle rise and fall of the chant, the collective breath of the audience, and the sense that each utterance wrapped the gathering in a shared mantle of divine protection. This moment testifies to how our community nurtures Ottoman Sufi heritage across continents.
