This is because TrackAddict tries to calculate the gear based on speed and RPM, and it doesn't always get it right. POV from the #589 Danger Den Racing 2015 Honda Civic LX in Regional Open 2 Wheel Drive at the American Rally Association's Overmountain Rally Tennessee, driven by Jack Pullen and co-driven by Chris Zoni. Started P48 on the road, finished P31 overall and P5 in Regional O2WD, with a final combined time of 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 40.4 seconds, no penalties, an average speed of 33.66 MPH, and a final speed factor of 20.31. This was an interesting rally, and while we technically got mopped in class, I'm still happy with finishing at all. I wanted to go faster, but limitations from the get-go (most notably having no rear brakes except through the handbrake, and even that barely did anything) put a damper on our ultimate pace. Just after finishing the final non-cancelled stage, the front brakes boiled away completely, leaving us in a precarious position if we had to drive the planned second passes of Weaver's Bend and especially Big Clifty. Fortunately for us, those stages were cancelled, so we drove very carefully back to service and ran the entire speedway super special stage without brakes (didn't need them between the banking and the car's lack of real power). We also technically ran fast enough to have won Regional L2WD, which is promising, as that's what I intend to do next year.
