[Interview] Andy of Andy Audio Vault | $3,800 IEMs, Warm Tuning & Why Ear Tips Matter

Hey everyone, it’s James Demer! In this interview, I sit down with Andy from Andy’s Audio Vault to talk about his journey from working in IT to creating audio content full-time, and why portable listening has always fit the way he lives. We get into custom ear molds, the surprisingly big impact of ear tips, developing a sensitivity to treble, and the warmer-sounding IEMs Andy keeps coming back to. He also shares the story behind his CJ20 collaboration, the $3,800 single-driver IEM he listened to for 13 hours without fatigue, what he hopes to discover at SIAS, and the challenges of recording extreme metal concerts. If you’re into IEMs, portable hi-fi, or the people behind the gear, it’s time to open the vault!
