The special intangible cultural heritage project, "The Charm of Porcelain," and its namesake documentary, have officially launched. How does a city born and thriving because of porcelain transform clay into a timeless brilliance? This time, Luo Tianyi visits Jingdezhen, getting close to the daily work of artisans, observing the blue and white porcelain, glazes, kiln fires, and the craftsmanship. From a single stroke of blue on the porcelain blank to the unpredictable changes in the kiln fire; from the Eastern sentiment within ancient patterns to today's new imagination of traditional expression—Tianyi attempts to find the answer to "why porcelain is so moving" in this thousand-year-old porcelain capital. It's not just about technique, but also about time. It's also about those who are willing to dedicate their lives to one thing. Under the ingenious creation of Chinese arts and crafts master Huang Jingzang and his team, the life-size ceramic overglaze sculpture "Doucai Lingxian" by Luo Tianyi, and the blue and white porcelain paintings "The Legend of the White Snake" and "Small Fan and Fireflies" by Luo Tianyi have taken shape in the tempering of clay and fire, and will be on display at the BW Vsinger booth (4.1H 4A33) from July 10th to 12th.
